Join us as we raise money for pancreatic cancer research
On Sunday, May 6th, 2012 our team will come together to “Pick a Fight” with pancreatic cancer in honour of our beloved Lindsay, the “Taminator”.
We urge you to join us as we fight back by running or walking to raise funds to support research that will benefit those currently fighting pancreatic cancer and honour those who have fought “The Good Fight”.
Lindsay, our fearless team captain from last year passed away at the young age of 26 on November 4, 2011 from pancreatic cancer after a courageous battle with the disease for more than 5 years.
Lindsay fought “The Good Fight”…. she was a leader and a strong advocate for pancreatic cancer and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends and through her inspirational Blog, “The Good Fight” which is found on the Pancreatic Cancer Canada website under the pseudonym of “Carrie Ng Grace.”
This year, our team is here to continue Lindsay’s legacy and advocacy to raise funds for research to find a cure and to increase awareness for this very deadly yet very little known and severely underfunded cancer.
