The MM 5K walk on June 23, 2013 is very important to the functioning of the BLOOM CHAIR.
All the money raised by our PHARMACY ALL STARS TEAM and the other walkers is dedicated to research for that next drug that will stabilize us until a cure is found.
That's the bottom line!! Without that next drug on the shelf we are very vulnerable!!!!!!!!
The researchers under the leadership of Dr. Donna Reece are making great progress and we have the only MM research Chair in Canada so there is great support from other groups such as pharma.
We are a boutique cancer so our best way to raise sponsorship funds is thru family, friends and colleagues. Otherwise on the PR stage we are competing with the big cancers such as breast cancer, prostate cancer etc. and we will get lost which I believe is a waste of money and energy. We have to stay focused!!!
