Please Help Keep Harley's Dream of a Cure for Multiple Myeloma, Alive!


In February 2011, I lost my precious husband, Harley, to Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer of the bone marrow. When he was diagnosed in 2000, Harley was given 2-3 years to live. With hope, perseverance and the help of the newest state-of-the-art multiple myeloma treatments, we were fortunate enough to be able to stretch 2 years into 11 "quality" years. That is definite proof of just how important NEW stabilizing drug treatments can be to patients living with cancer.

On Sunday, June 23rd, 2013 our family will be participate in the 9th annual Multiple Myeloma 5K Walk to help raise funds for Multiple Myeloma research at The Princess Margaret Hospital. We promised Harley that we would keep "his dream of a cure", alive and we ask you for your help in doing just that. We are so very grateful to our loving family and our friends who have supported our quest for the cure in the past. We are humbled by the outpouring of your love and support. As a result, great progress in research has been made. Your generous contributions have made a significant difference and impact. 

Cancer touches each of us in different ways. Graciously, I ask you to support me in the best way you can (walk & collect pledges or fundraise) as I walk in the 2013 MM5K in a quest to honour Harley's wishes to find a cure for Multiple Myeloma. Your donation will go directly towards Multiple Myeloma research at The Princess Margaret Hospital. RESEARCH is the key to finding the cure!

There are so many wonderful people in the Multiple Myeloma Community who need hope. Join me in putting some hope back into their hearts.
