On Sunday October 17th, 2010, the Walking Hand in Hand team by the The Robert & Maggie Bras and Family New Drug Development Program will be taking part in the Toronto Marathon’s 5K Your Way walk/run to raise funds for cancer research at The Princess Margaret Hospital. Funds raised directly support the research and development of new drugs, novel clinical trials and better therapies for cancer patients. We are hoping we can count on your support and participation!
The Robert & Maggie Bras and Family New Drug Development Program at Princess Margaret Hospital is dedicated to finding better treatments for patients with all types of cancer. This program is led by Drs. Malcolm Moore, Amit Oza, Lillian Siu and Eric Chen of the Division of Medical Oncology and Hematology. These exceptional doctors, together with the program's team of researchers, oncologists, scientists, nursing, pharmacy and pharmacology are working hard to identify drugs and develop new therapies that are less toxic and less invasive to the body.
The Princess Margaret is considered one of the leading cancer centres in the WORLD. TO REGISTER - follow these easy steps!
1. From our team page, click Join The Team under our team name or click on Register at the top left side of the screen.
2. Choose the option "Join a Fundraising Team"
3. Enter a keyword such as Walking and click Search
4. Under the word Action, click on Join
5. Follow the registration process
6. When asked to choose the area of PMH where you would like to direct your fundraising, scroll down to the bottom of the drop down menu and select "New Drug Development"
7. Complete the registration process
8. You are now part of our team!
