The Gerry & Nancy Pencer Brain Tumor Centre at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
In 1997, Gerry Pencer, the CEO of the world’s largest private label soft drink maker, was diagnosed with a grade 4 Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor.
During the course of his illness, Gerry sought information, answers, treatment options, and support systems for both himself and his family. When he discovered the
lack of readily available resources for brain tumor patients, Gerry Pencer set out to change the system. It was Gerry’s dream to fund and establish a
world-class brain tumor centre where patients could feel at home while receiving state-of-the-art treatment and support, and where leading edge research could be encouraged.
In November 1998, The Gerry & Nancy Pencer Brain Tumor Centre opened its doors on the 18th floor of
Toronto’s Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Gerry’s dream was realized.

2. Participate in Journey to Conquer Cancer Run or Walk - 2022
Join the Head 4 A Cure team at Journey to Conquer Cancer today and help us raise funds for this important program.
This is a 5K, 3K or 1K walk or run that takes place in the morning of Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

3. Create Your Own Event
Create your own event to support the Pencer Brain Tumor Centre. Events such as lemonade stands, hockey tournaments, selling charms are supported by this website.
