2017 Journey to Conquer Cancer Run or Walk - 2017 Journey to Conquer Cancer Run or Walk
Please Help Keep Harley's Dream of a Cure for Multiple Myeloma,
In February 2011, I lost my precious husband, Harley Ulster, to Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer of the bone marrow. Diagnosed in 2000, he was only given 2 years to live. With hope, perseverance, courage and the newest state-of-the-art multiple myeloma treatments, we fought and stretched those two years into "11 quality years". That is definite proof of just how important NEW stabilizing drug treatments can be to patients living with Multiple Myeloma.
On Sunday, June 18th, 2017, our family will participate in the 13th annual Multiple Myeloma 5K Walk to help raise funds for Multiple Myeloma research at The Princess Margaret Hospital. 6 years ago we promised Harley that we would continue to fight in order to keep his dream of a cure,
So, we respectfully ask you for your help in doing just that. We are so grateful to our loving family and to all of our fabulous friends for their past support. We are truly humbled by the outpouring of love from each and every one of you and we want you to know that we simply could not do this without you. Your generous contributions have made all the difference and, as a result, great progress has been made in MM research.
Last year's 12th Anniversary event raised MORE THAN $770,000 bringing our 12 year fundraising total over $6 million for Multiple Myeloma Research! We are SO proud and grateful and we plan to continue giving back to the MM community in Harley's memory.
Cancer touches each of us and it does so in many different ways. Graciously, I ask you to support me in the best way that
can (walk, collect pledges, fundraise or donate). Your donations go directly to Multiple Myeloma research at The Princess Margaret Hospital via The Molly & David Bloom Chair for Multiple Myeloma research. RESEARCH is the key to a cure! YES, WE CAN!!
There are so many wonderful people in the Multiple Myeloma Community who need hope. Please join me in putting some hope back into their hearts. Your generous support will provide that hope for them. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for understanding the desire to
... and for wanting to help find the cure for Multiple Myeloma,
in Harley's memory
With much love & gratitude,
Cindy, Ellery & Ryan and Philip
