Keeping Harley's Dream of a Cure for Multiple Myeloma, Alive!

In February 2011, I lost my precious husband, Harley Ulster, to Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer of the bone marrow. Diagnosed in 2000, at the tender age of 48, he was only given 2 years to live. With hope, perseverance, courage and the newest state-of-the-art multiple myeloma treatments, we fought and managed to stretch those two years into "11 quality years". That is definite proof of just how important NEW stabilizing drug treatments can be to patients living with Multiple Myeloma.

On Sunday, June 17th, 2018, our family will participate in the 14th annual Multiple Myeloma 5K Walk to help raise funds for Multiple Myeloma research at The Princess Margaret Hospital.  7 years ago, we promised Harley that we would continue his fight in order to keep the dream of a cure,
alive. So, respectfully, once again, we ask you for your help. We are so grateful to our loving family and to all of our fabulous friends for their past support. We are truly humbled by the outpouring of  love from each and every one of you and we want you to know that we simply could not do this without your help. Your generous contributions have made all the difference and as a result great progress has been made in MM research. Last year's 13th Anniversary event raised MORE THAN $600K bringing our 13 year fundraising total to close to $7 million for Multiple Myeloma Research! How great is that??? We are so very proud and grateful and all we want to do is continue to give back to the MM community in Harley's memory. It's his legacy!

Cancer touches each and everyone of us and it does so in many different ways. Graciously, I ask you to support me in the best way that you can (walk, collect pledges, fundraise or donate). Your donations go directly to research at The Princess Margaret Hospital via The Molly & David Bloom Chair for Multiple Myeloma research and treatment. RESEARCH is the key to our cure!

There are so many wonderful people in the Multiple Myeloma Community who need hope.  Please join me in helping to put some hope back into their hearts. Your generous support will provide the hope and the help they so desperately need.  Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for understanding our desire to give back. Together, we can find that cure for Multiple Myeloma ... in Harley's memory.

With much love & gratitude,
Cindy, Ellery & Ryan, and Philip  (and Benny, the golden retriever)
