I will be spending the next 7 months training with 9 other ‘non-boxing professionals’ – and on June 2, 2018 I will be stepping into the ring to ‘literally’ fight to end cancer.
In June of 2016, my mother Iris Collins – one of the most vibrant, caring and selfless people I have ever known - was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and within 10 weeks she was gone. Prior to her diagnosis, my mother was as healthy as a 77-year-old could possibly be. In some ways I still haven't accepted it, and feel that our entire family was robbed of the many more years we should have enjoyed with her.
I am fighting for her – as well as for the countless others I know who have been impacted by this terrible disease.
Anyone who knows me knows that before this July I had never seen the inside of a gym. But if you are looking for me between now and next June, that’s likely where you’ll find me.
I am incredibly grateful for all of the support – I have a very lofty goal but know that together we can do it!
Please consider donating to this very worthy cause and giving me that extra motivation to keep going, AND consider joining us on June 2nd, 2018 - #FTEC2018 - Gala Information and Tickets
Thank you so much for your support!
