On Friday March 22nd and Saturday March 23rd, together with an amazing team of friends and colleagues, for the 3rd year in a row, I am participating in SPIN
to Conquer Cancer benefiting breast cancer research at Princess Margaret Cancer
Centre. The fundraiser involves each of us spinning for 1.5 hours per session (I am spinning in all 3 sessions) in the stunning atrium of 134 Peter Street in Toronto.
I will be spinning for my dear friend and inspiration, Carley Caldwell, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2017 at the age of 31. Carley is loved and missed everyday. She was so many things to so many people - to me she was a beautiful, hilarious, strong and supportive friend who was full of hope and positivity for the future. I know she would be so proud of everything we have accomplished so far - we will continue to fight cancer in her honour. Check out the "RUFF RYDERS" team (a group of my amazing friends who are also paying tribute to our girl Car - I will be spinning with them as well)... as for the team name: Carley had an affinity for hip hop and gangster rap.
As many of you know, I am going through my own battle … but
the good news is that I am winning (!!!) and living an incredible life without limitations. This is hugely due to the recent
advancements in breast cancer treatment. The treatment that I am currently on
is brand new and very effective. This treatment didn’t exist 3 years ago. It
goes to show that all of the funding to cancer research really does make a
difference and I am living proof. Please help me raise more money so we can
fund more treatments and maybe even find a cure! It’s really not as crazy as it
This is my 2nd year on the Spin2CC Committee and I am very proud of how the event has grown and evolved. Allied has donated the beautiful venue along with many other generous donations from other companies to make this year's event even better than last year (and last year was next level). It is going to be amazing and I can't wait.
You can make a difference by donating to my page. It is appreciated beyond words.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your ongoing support, generosity and good vibes. I don't know where I would be without my incredible network of friends and family.
With all my love,
